David Thomas Bius

 

Jan. 28, 1968 - Jan. 24, 2014

 

David Thomas Bius, 45, of Moultrie, died Friday, Jan. 24, 2014 in Worth County from injuries received in an automobile accident.  His wife, Kandy Elizabeth Johnson Bius, also died in the accident.

Funeral services for David and Kandy Bius were 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014 at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Alan Tillman officiating.  Interment followed in Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens.

Casketbearers for Mr. Bius was John Sellers, Patton Walley, Doyle Ingram, Randall Taylor, Glenn Appleman and Mark Grice.

Honorary casketbearers were Freddye Whitston, Willie Musselwhite and Phillip Sutton.

Born Jan. 28, 1968 in Live Oak, Fla., he was the son of the late John Hubert Bius and Sarah Elizabeth Ivey Bius.  He was a supervisor with the Georgia Federal State Inspection Service and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include two sons, Justin Cade Johnson and Parker Reid Johnson, both of Moultrie; one grandchild, Karson Noah Johnson of Moultrie; the mother of his grandchild, Kimberly Laverne Parker of Moultrie; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Don and Jackie Johnson of Moultrie; one brother, Tim Bius and wife Misty of Kansas; two sisters, Cindy Bius Appleman and husband Glenn of Middleburg, Fla. and Joanna Bius Grice and husband Mark of Crestview, Fla.; several nieces and nephews and other family members.

The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27, 2014 at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.

Kandy Elizabeth Johnson Bius

Kandy Elizabeth Johnson Bius, 44, died Friday, Jan. 24, 2014 in Worth County from injuries received in an automobile accident.  Her husband, David Thomas Bius also died in the accident.

Funeral services for Kandy and David Bius were 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014 at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Alan Tillman officiating.  Interment followed in Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens.

Casketbearers for Mrs. Bius were Wayne Gay, Terry Croft, William Barnes, Ross Lawrence, Maurice Cronk and Farrell Holloway.
