Mike  Bonds

 

Dec. 25, 1953 - Jan.  21, 2014

 

Mike Bonds, age 60, of McAlpin, Fla. passed away Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014 at Shands Live Oak following a brief illness.  He was a native and life long resident of Live Oak.   Mike was a sergeant for Mayo Correctional Institute.  He loved to fish and most importantly loved spending time with his family.  He was a member of the NRA and Friendship Baptist Church .

He was predeceased by his parents Cecil and Myrtice Bonds.

He is survived by two sons, Shawn (Tammy) Bonds, McAlpin, Fla.; Chris (Cassandra) Bonds, Wellborn, Fla.; one brother, Marty (Susan) Bonds, Palatka, Fla.; one sister, Sharon (Leon) Harris, Starke, Fla.; four grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 24 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held, 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014 in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery .  Internment will follow in the church cemetery.

Laura Agner Felder

 

May 22, 1917 - Jan.  21, 2014

 

Laura Agner Felder, 96, passed away Jan.  21, 2014 at the Good Samaritan Nursing Center at the Advent Christian Village at Dowling Park, Fla. following an extended illness.

Mrs. Felder was born May 22, 1917 in Taylor County, Fla. She lived in Jacksonville, Fla. as a young woman where she met and married her husband, Walter M. Felder, who predeceased her.  She lived in Mulberry, Fla. for 17 years where she was a member of the First Baptist Church and worked in the children’s nursery for many years.  She lived in Jasper, Fla. for 7 years and as an avid fisherman she enjoyed fishing the flats at Steinhatchee with her husband.  She lived in Ocala for 10 years where she worked in the office of the Marion County Clerk of the Court.  Upon retirement she returned to Perry, where she was a member of the First Baptist Church, and enjoyed being near her family. In 1998 she moved to the Advent Christian Village and loved her life there where she made many friends.
