Robert Oneal Goolsby, Sr.

 

May 29, 1938 - June 4, 2014

 

Robert Oneal Goolsby, Sr., age 76 of Gainesville, Fla. passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2014.  He was born May 29, 1938 in Jasper, Fla. to Oneal and Thero Jones Goolsby.

Mr. Goolsby was an active member of Forest Grove Baptist Church. He was a past Sunday school superintendent and Bible school director, he sang in the choir and participated in the softball and bowling leagues. Mr. Goolsby was an avid drag racer and a fan of all motorsports. He loved to fish, garden, farm and spend time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Pat McGhin Goolsby; son, Robert “Buddy” Oneal Goolsby, Jr. (Tracy); grandson, Timothy Oneal Goolsby all of Gainesville  sisters, Dorothy Goolsby Bond of Norcross, GA; Connie Goolsby Beasley (Vann) of Smyrna, GA; Libby Goolsby Walk (Ken) of Jasper, Fla. and many loving nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by niece, Michelle Tenney and nephew, Jimmy Dampier.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Forest Grove Baptist Church 22575 NW 94th Ave., Alachua, Fla. 32615 with Pastor Warren Chesser and Pastor Leon Godwin officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, June 6, 2014, 5 to 7 p.m. at Williams-Thomas Funeral Home Westarea, 823 NW 143rd Street. The family request dress is business casual, coats and ties are not necessary. Interment will follow in Forest Grove Cemetery.

Tom Malcom Waldron

 

July 6,1964 - May 31, 2014

 

Tom Malcom Waldron, born July 6,1964, passed away peacefully after a short battle with cancer at his McAlpin residence surrounded by his loved ones on Saturday, May 31, 2014. He was the son of Bob and Sheila Waldron. Preceeded in death by Bob, Sheila, and sister Linda. He leaves to carry on, daughter Shaleena K Waldron, son Levi A Waldron, and loving finacee Mary K Gerhauser. Siblings, Leo (Lisa) Waldron, and Dee Pallardy. Also survived by Brandee Flores, Josh (Lanie) Gerhauser and Samantha Gerhauser, and six grandchildren.
