Dorothy Beach, 83, Lake City, formerly of Branford, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2013, in North Florida Regional Medical Center, Gainesville, Fla.
Mrs. Beach was born in Holly Hill, S.C., she was a homemaker and member of Living Springs Family Worship Center, Branford, Fla.
Survivors include one daughter, Debra “Debbie” Hill of Lake City, Fla.; two sons, Gary Beach of Branford, Fla., Leyon “Booie” Beach & Donna of Lake City, Fla.
Five brothers, Herman Driggers of Charleston, S.C., Ronald Driggers of O'Brien, Fla., Edward Driggers of Charleston, S.C., Curtis Driggers of Charleston, S.C., Ernie Driggers of New York City, N.Y.; 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 20, 2013, at 11 a.m. in Living Springs Family Worship Center, with Rev. Emery Daughtry officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Memorial Cemetery, Branford, Fla. Visitation will be held on Saturday one hour prior to the services.

Jeannie Marie Morgan Newhard
June 25, 1969 - July 14, 2013
Jeannie Marie Morgan Newhard, age 44, of Live Oak, Florida, passed away on July 14, 2013, at Shands at the University of Florida with family by her side. She was born in Jacksonville, Florida on June 25, 1969, to Larry Eugene Morgan and Rhea Marie Alford Morgan. Jeannie was raised in Baker County, Fla., where she became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She loved being a paramedic and helping others. Jeannie worked for the Baker Emergency Medical Services and Ed Fraser Memorial Hospital for many years. She was an EMT and paramedic instructor at Lake City Community College and she taught CPR classes for the Baker County Fire Department. Jeannie enjoyed watching QVC, shopping, going to yard sales, making crafts with her children, and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Morgan and her father-in-law, George Newhard.
Jeannie is survived by her loving husband of eight years, David E. Newhard of Live Oak, Fla.; her parents, Larry and Rhea Morgan of Sanderson, Fla.; her children, Jasan Luke, Justin Luke, Kierstine Newhard, David L. Newhard, and Cortney Newhard; her sister, Mary Elizabeth and Jeffery Dawson of Macclenny, Fla.; her mother-in-law, Barbara Newhard of Live Oak, Fla.; her grandchildren, Annabelle Lee and Greycin Luke; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2013, at 3 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Macclenny, Fla., with Bishop Whitney officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 19, 2013, from 5 – 8 p.m. at V. Todd Ferreira Funeral Services Chapel. Mr. Ulyssee S. Thomas, better known to his friends as Billy, age 72, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, July 9, 2013, after a short illness. He was the son of the late Mr. Will and Mrs. Ellen Louise Thomas.
Billy was born in O’Brien, Fla. After moving to Live Oak, he graduated from New Douglass High School. Later he attended Edward Waters College in Jacksonville, Fla. where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree. Billy became a professional wrestler in the WWA, WWF, better known to his friends as “Bugalo”. After he retired from wrestling, he returned back home and was employed at the Suwannee High School as the first black coach where he coached wrestling and boxing.
Billy was a faithful member of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, O’Brien, Fla.
He is survived by his wife Mrs. Gussie Mae Thomas; one son, Johnell Thomas, Orlando, Fla.; one daughter, Carolyn Haynes and husband James, Sarasota, Fla.; one sister, Mrs. Oris Ford, St. Petersburg, Fla.; one brother, Mr. Curtis Thomas, Live Oak, Fla.; three aunts: Mrs. Annie Bell Powell, Lake City, Fla.; Mrs. Ollie Bell Thomas and Mrs. Doretha Thomas, both of O’Brien, Fla.; one uncle, Mr. Ernest Boykin, Jacksonville, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; a special and devoted niece, Twanna T. Mitchell and Kenmisha Thomas, Live Oak, Fla.; a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Ulyssee Billy Thomas will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Springfield Baptist Church, Rev. Leo Fleming, pastor, Bishop James Wiggins, officiating.
Burial will be in the East Memorial Cemetery, Live Oak, Fla.

Mrs. Alfretia Young, a resident of Live Oak, Florida, passed away July 14, 2013, in Gainesville, Florida.
Mrs. Young is survived by her husband, Mr. John W. Young, and six children: Sharon Holmes; Theodore Wilson Jr.; Roslyn Evans; Lawanda Beasley‘ Francesca Gibson and Sylvester Collins.
Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, July 19, 2013, from 6-7 p.m. at the D.M. Udell Funeral Home chapel.
Funeral services will be Saturday, July 20, 2013, at 11 a.m. in the Greater Bethel A.M.E. Church of Live Oak, Florida. Burial will be in the Eastside Cemetery.
