12th Annual Tour of Homes slated for Saturday

Live Oak —

Altrusa International Inc. of Live Oak will be holding their 12th Annual Tour of Homes on Saturday, from noon until 5 p.m. The event serves as a fundraiser that allows Altrusa to give back to the community through generous contributions and various service projects.

The tour begins at the Heritage Park and Gardens on Helvenston Street and when guests arrive, they will be provided a direction map to the homes and refreshments will also be available to participants.

“There will be five homes and of course the Heritage Park and Gardens can be toured as well,” said Altrusa’s Shannon Court. “Each home owner, they decorate their homes and they’re very generous to allow us to do this for our fundraiser each year.”

She said this is their only fundraiser and they hope that can raise enough money to provide for the community.

“We give to all the schools, the library and the Pregnancy Care Center and anything concerning learning or helping people,” said Court. “We try and assist them in any way we can.”

Admission for the event is $10 per person. Tickets can be purchased by visiting Glenda Williams at the Supervisor of Elections Office or calling at 362-2616 or see Barbie Scott at McCrimmon’s Office Supply or call her at 362-2171, or at the door on the day of the event.

Everyone is invited to tour these featured homes that will be elegantly decorated and will ignite the Christmas spirit.
