Memorial Day ceremony announced for Live Oak

Live Oak —

The American Legion, Harry C. Gray II Memorial Post 107 and Disabled American Veterans Chapter 126 of Live Oak wish to invite all of Suwannee County and surrounding areas to our annual Memorial Day ceremony to honor America’s fallen heroes.

The ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 26 in the Veterans Memorial section of the Live Oak Cemetery. Guest speaker will be Craig Jacobsen, Colonel (Ret) USA.

After the ceremony a free barbecue for veterans and their families (donations from non-veterans) will be held at the American Legion Post, located about five miles on US 129 South, turn left onto 142nd Street. Post is one mile on the right. Contact 386-362-5987 or email nembm@ymail.com for more information. In the event of rain, the ceremony will be held in the big hall at the American Legion Post.
