Lavater Mae “Pat” Jones, 94, of Branford passed away Monday May 12, 2014 at Community Hospice, Jacksonville, Fla.

Mrs. Jones was born in Bell, Fla. she was a retired teachers aide with the Duval County School system, and a member of the Pentecostal faith. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Elton M. Jones. Survivors include, three sons, Carlos R. & Shirley Jones of Jacksonville, Fla., Jerald & Sue Jones of Jacksonville, Fla., Gene & Silvia Jones of Fruit Cove, Fla., grandchildren, Kelli, Wesley, Erik, Brie, Bryant, Joshua and Daniel. Great grandchildren, Evan, Graycie, Kieran, Maeleia, Easton, Bethany, Rylan, Christopher, Josiah and Leam.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday May 16, 2014 at 1 p.m. in Daniels Memorial Chapel, Branford, Fla. with Rev. Cam Mullis officiating. Interment will follow in Hatch Bend Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Please sign the guest book at

Joyce Pert Rausch

Joyce Pert Rausch, 74, Live Oak, Fla. passed away on Monday, May 12, 2014. The Lake City, Fla. native lived most of her life in Live Oak and was a member of Victory Baptist Church. 

Mrs. Rausch is survived by her four sons: Cliff Pert, Live Oak, Gordon Pert, Live Oak, JR. (Sallie) Pert, Live Oak, Wade (Rachael) Pert, Jacksonville, Fla.; two sisters: Lillie Ford, Wellborn, Fla., Marilyn (Cecil) Skeen, Lake City, Fla.; two brothers: David (Betsy) Columbus, OH, Buddy (Maggie) Harris, Lake City, Fla.; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. 

Services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 15 at Victory Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Owens officiating. Interment followed in Orange Baptist Church Cemetery.
