Brenda Faye Perkins

Brenda Faye Perkins, 75, O’Brien, Fla. passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2014. The St. Johnsburg, VT native moved to O’Brien twenty-five years ago from Miami, Fla. She was a member of the Eastern Star and was of Methodist faith.
Mrs. Perkins is survived by her daughter: Judy Staffieri, Dunedin, Fla.; three sons: David (Terri) Staffieri, Lake City, Fla., Daniel Staffieri, Franklin, GA, Michael Staffieri, Colombus, OH; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband: Stewart Perkins and daughter: Cathy Hahn.

Mary Lois Smith Horton

Nov.  22, 1926 - March 12, 2014

Mary Lois Smith Horton, age 87, died Wednesday, March 12, 2014, in Dowling Park, Fla. Mary had been a resident at Advent Christian Village for over thirteen years.  She and her husband, Robert Benjamin Horton, deceased, were former residents of St. Augustine, Fla.
A graveside service was held at 4 on Sunday, March 16, at Hays Cemetery, Lee, Fla.,
with Tim Setzer, pastor of the Village Church, officiating.  A Celebration of Life service
will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 19, in the Village Chapel. Dr. Geoffrey Lentz, husband of one of Mary's granddaughters, will bring the memorial message and remembrances. Memories will also be shared through a musical audiovisual presentation. Lunch will be provided following the service.
Mary was born in Tarpon Springs, Fla., Nov.  22, 1926, to Almon and Louetta Smith.
During World War II, her father was sent by the Coast Guard to work in St. Augustine, 
and her family relocated there.  She met her husband, R.B., when he returned from 
service in the Army in New Guinea and the Philippines in 1946. Mary was employed by
Florida East Coast Railway in those early years.
