Suspect in two Live Oak bank robberies captured in Tallahassee

Live Oak — A suspect who is believed to have robbed two Live Oak banks on Wednesday was captured and taken into custody in Tallahassee today, according to Live Oak Police Chief Buddy Williams.

Police say Kenneth Lamar Ellington, 45, 37 Whispering Pines Lane, Quincy, entered both banks wearing a knitted hat, dark jacket, boots, a fake beard, mustache and wig and robbed TD Bank and the First Federal Bank South Branch by passing a note to a teller.

Local officials said Ellington is the same suspect that recently robbed a bank in Perry and one in Tallahassee before that.
