Rant & Rave for May 23, 2014

Live Oak —

What has happened to the school bus system? The buses are always late now and when I call they say it's because there's not enough drivers or the bus broke down. Most times when I call I can't even speak to who is in charge. All I get is a mechanic or something. Somebody help fix this mess. Who is in charge there anyway?

I agree with the RnR about people sitting in the back of trucks. The way I look at it is if local law officers are not going to enforce speeding, running red lights and illegal golf carts on the streets they sure aren't going to enforce people illegally riding in truck beds.

The Suwannee County Board of County Commissioners will decide if they should renew an ordinance that imposes a three cent gas tax?

What is there to decide? All those Republican's were elected as conservatives! Watch the talk and vote to see who is a RINO and who is doing what they were elected to do!

Raise the gas tax, instead of gaining 3 cents, rest assured I will not buy 1 gal. in this county & you'll lose my vote also! Quit buying mansions & paying a dog catcher that doesn't catch dogs instead of burdening working folks.

The little corporal punishment poll you ran was rigged. I voted against it and when I did vote on it I noticed the numbers on the poll did NOT change. Suwannee Democrat you are very transparent, and biased. Gina Wilson

Editor’s note: The poll will only allow one vote per IP address (computer).

To the one who thinks the collection sites should be open 24 hours a day, I guess you want to pay $60 a month for garbage cause that is what it will take to stay open that long. People in Suwannee COunty just like to complain about something all the time. Maybe they should start praising instead of complaining and they would have joy in their lives.
