Live Oak — Suwannee County District 4 Commissioner Phil Oxendine has withdrawn his support from the proposed medical waste incinerators.
Oxendine sent a letter to Integrated Waste Management Systems Consultant Alberta Hipps on Oct. 8 announcing his intention.
He told the Democrat Sunday that the company is not a proven one, they lack financial proof and his third reason for pulling support is the public's outcry against the proposed venture.
Oxendine is the second commissioner to publicly withdraw support. Comm. Ricky Gamble publicly withdrew his support Saturday.
