Della V. Murphy a long time resident of Mayo, Fla. was born July 17, 1942 in Silas, Alabama to the late Sank and Katie McGrew. Ms. Della V. Murphy passed from this earthly walk of life early Sunday morning of Jan. 13, 2013 at the Doctors’ Memorial Hospital in Perry, Fla. She will be greatly missed by family members and friends, and all that knew her.
Home going celebration for Ms. Della V. Murphy will be held 11 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013 at Alton Church of God Life Center in Mayo, Fla. Rev. Hamm is the pastor and Deacon William Murphy her son will give the eulogy. Burial will follow in the Garden of Rest Cemetery, Mayo, Fla.
The Murphy family will receive other relatives and sorrowing friends Friday, Jan. 18, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at 1st Born Baptist church in Mayo, Fla. Burial will follow in the Garden of Rest Cemetery, Mayo Fla.

Mother Jessie M. Powe, born April 23, 1936 in Silas, Alabama to the late Sank and Katie McGrew was a long time resident of Mayo, Fla. Mother Powe passed from this earthly walk of life on Wednesday, Jan. 09, 2013 at the Lafayette Healthcare center in Mayo, Fla. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends, and all that knew her.
Celebration of life For Mother Powe will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013 at the Alms of Bethel Outreach Community Center. Carolyn Demps is the pastor and Bishop Annie M. Sellers will officiate.

Robert L. Wilson, 90, of Scottsburg, Indiana died on Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013 at his residence. He was born on Dec.11, 1922 in Columbia, Kentucky, the son of the late Eley and Mary Bell (Martin) Wilson. Robert was retired on Feb. 1, 1978 from the old Colgate Palmolive Company in Jeffersonville, Indiana after 35 years of service and lived most of his life in Clark and Scott Counties. He attended the North Charlestown Church of God in Charlestown, Indiana, was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II and founded the old Borden Bluegrass Music Association, which is now known as the Southern Indiana Music Association. Robert has performed and managed the sound system for many groups at the Spirit of Suwuannee Music Park in Live Oak, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Alberta Janet Horsley Wilson on Aug. 14, 2003; a daughter, Linda Derrickson; a son, Martin Wilson; two sisters, Helen Slaughterback and Elizabeth Young and a brother, Albert Wilson. Survivors include his wife, Tryphena (Blair) Brown-Wilson; eight daughters, Mary C. Coin and Helen Cunningham both of Sellersburg, Indiana, Elizabeth Nokes and Carolyn Wilson both of New Albany, Indiana, Susan Estes of Jeffersonville, Indiana, Marilyn Roth of Louisville, Kentucky, Joan F. Miles of Scottsburg, Indiana and Catherine Fouts of New Washington, Indiana; two sons, Robert L. Wilson, II of Scottsburg, Indiana and Paul K. Wilson of Jeffersonville, Indiana; two stepsons, Stanley Brown of Underwood, Indiana and Bradley Smiley-Brown of Greenwood, Indiana; two stepdaughters, Marcia Schaaf of Crestwood, Kentucky and Penny Conlen of Sellersburg, Indiana; a brother, Owen Wilson of Louisville, Kentucky; 34 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren.
Funeral Service: 2 p.m. Friday at Collins Funeral Home with Pastors Bern Kiser and Neyland McClellan officiating. Visitation was: 2 to 8 pm Thursday and will be after 9 am Friday.

Frank Leroy Long, 85, of Live Oak, Fla., the Lord called him home on Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013 at Haven Hospice, after a short battle with cancer. Frank was born on Feb. 28, 1927 in Jacksonville, Fla.
He was raised in Daytona Beach and later in life moved to Live Oak, Fla. Frank was a passionate and loving man who enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by his wife Marjorie Hazel Long of 15 years, two sons: Allen Long (Rose) of Rockport, Tx, Robert Long (Mary) of Live Oak, Fla., 11 grandchildren: Trey Leigh, Allen Long, Jr., John Long, Tammy Long, Jason Long, Carolee Gage, Robert Long, Jennifer Long, James Phelan, Chris Phelan and Casey Phelan, 20 great-grandchildren and one great great grandchild, two brothers, Richard Long (Jackie) of Daytona, Fla., David Long (Marsha) of Sanford, Fl, 2 stepsons, Bradly Hartsfield (Linda) , Marc Hartsfield (Nell) , 3 stepdaughters, Brenda Overby (Wayne) Pam Wilson, Melissa Cieslik (Rich), 10 step grandchildren and many friends.
A public memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday at Tabernacle Baptist Church of Live Oak, 8637 NE Goldkist Blvd, Jan. 19, 2013. No flowers, send gifts to Haven Hospice in Lake City, Fla.
