Live Oak —

Timmy David Russell
Sept. 27, 1968
Jan. 2, 2013

Timmy David Russell passed away unexpectedly in his home on Jan. 2, 2013, in Jacksonville, Fla.
Born in Hollywood, Fla., on Sept. 27, 1968, Timmy moved with his family to Live Oak as a child. He lived and worked in Gainesville as a young man, later calling Jacksonville his home. Tim was a vocal, informed, and involved member of his community.
Tim is survived by his sisters, Tammy and Donna, both from Live Oak, Fla.; his nephews, Jason from Alaska and Mathew from Live Oak; his older brother, Bobby; as well as many close friends in the city of Jacksonville, the state of Florida, and throughout the United States. Timmy is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and beloved cocker spaniel, Bookie.
“Embrace your uniqueness,” and “savor the opportunities to celebrate the ordinary,” are the lessons Timmy David Russell reverberated through the lives of those who crossed his path. His presence and influence were impossible to ignore, whether a friend for many years or a casual acquaintance.
Known for his quick wit, bright smile, contagious laugh, bear-crushing-teeth-clenching hugs, and annual Christmas party, Timmy embraced life with a style and elegance hard to match. Friends and family were loved by him with abandon. He reminded everyone that manners never go out of style and grab the chances to commemorate life’s events – special or ordinary – with luxury, fun, and flair.
Celebrate Timmy David Russell’s life with his friends and family at one of his favorite locations – the beach. Wear bright, colorful clothes and join us Saturday, January 12, 2013, 2 Ocean Front North, Jacksonville, FL 32250. The celebration starts promptly at 5:30 p.m. in order to enjoy the sunset as we remember our friend and brother. In lieu of flowers, please contactTimmyRussellMemorial@gmail.com for information on how to make donations to assist the family with the cost of the final arrangements.
