Louise Helen Redmon Lloyd, age 90 resident of Miami, Fla. passed away Jan. 26, 2014 at North Shore Hospital in Miami, Fla. terminating an illness.
She is the widow of the late James Putnam Lloyd and was a former Member of the Wellborn, Fla. Community.
Upon moving to Miami, Fla., she united with Friendship Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Gaston Smith, Pastor until her health failed.
Survivors include two sisters; Mrs. Claretha Allen of Lake City, Fla. and Mrs. Pricilla Williamson of Wellborn, Fla.Thirty nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Louise Helen Redmon Lloyd were 11 a.m. Thursday Jan. 30, 2014 at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Miami, Fla. and local services for Mrs. Louise Helen Redmon Lloyd will be 12 noon Saturday Feb. 1, 2014 at Allen Chapel A. M. E. Church in Wellborn, Fla. with Rev. Dr. Jones officiating.
The family will receive friends Friday Jan. 31, 2014 6 - 7 p.m. at Cooper Chapel 251 N. E. Washington Street, Lake City, Fla.

Ethel Elizabeth Duke, born Aug. 7, 1917, was set free from the earthly plane on Jan. 13, 2014. Ethel left peacefully in her sleep, in the presence of her grand daughter, Jacqueline McKee and son, Bill Duke. As the end neared, she was surrounded by her friends, Star, Vicki, Bill, Tina, Mark and the loving folks from the Haven Hospice.
Ethel is survived by her son, Willard M. Duke, grand daughter, Jacqueline McKee, great grand daughters, Ashley Duke and Taylor Ballinger, great grandson Douglas Pierson and great great granddaughters Kinsley Duke, Sydney Pierson and great great grandson Peyton Pierson.

Violet Odessa Sheffield, 75, of Mayo, Fla. passed away Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014 at the Lake City Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Sheffield was born Nov. 25, 1938 in Perry, Fla., to Henry and Lena (Hall) Elmore.
She was of the Assembly of God faith and was a wonderful mother and grandmother who was loving, caring, and caregiver to her family and friends. In her spare time she enjoyed cooking, fishing, and spending time with her family. Mrs. Sheffield was preceded in death by her husband, John Franklin Sheffield in 1992 and her parents, Henry and Lena Mae Hall Elmore.
She is survived by 3 daughters, Elaine Sheffield and Merita Sheffield, both of Live Oak, Fla., and Alice Harrison, of Lake City, Fla., 2 brothers, Edward Elmore, of Arkansas, and Jimmy Ray Elmore, of Trenton, Fla., 3 sisters, Ella Mae Santerfeit, of Mayo, Velma Mayo, of Jacksonville, Fla., and Virginia Durio, of California, 2 grandchildren, John and Tyler Harrison, 1 great-granddaughter, Clairy-Ann Harrison, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014 at The Refuge Church in Live Oak with Shanna Kirby officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in “Tibby’s” memory to the COPD foundation at www.copdfoundation.org, or 3300 Ponce de Leon Blvd, Miami, Fla. 33134. Arrangements are under the care of Joe P. Burns Funeral Home of Mayo.
