Freeze warning in effect

Live Oak — The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for Suwannee County from 3 a.m. to 9 a.m. Friday. A hard freeze watch is in effect from late Friday evening to early Saturday morning.

Lows near 28 to 32 are expected tonight with three to five hours of freezing temperatures to be expected. Eight to 10 hours of freezing temperatures are expected early Saturday morning with lows 27 to 31.

The NWS reported a freeze warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or expected for at least two hours. Appropriate action should be taken to ensure tender vegetation and outdoor pets have adequate protection from the cold temperatures.
