Live Oak — Regel Howard

Regel Howard, 62, of Branford passed away Thursday May 24, 2012 at the Mayo Clinic, Jacksonville, Florida following a long illness. Mr. Howard was a lifelong resident of the Branford area. He was affiliated with Howard & Son's Septic service, a long haul truck driver and was of the Baptist faith. He will be loved and missed by many. He is survived by his wife of 19 years: Laurie Howard of Branford, Fla.; four daughters: Callie Rogers and Amanda Howard, both of South Carolina; Valerie Oliva and Krystal Howard both of Branford, Fla.; three sisters: Jean Hurst of Cross City, Fla.; Susie Daniels of Branford, Fla.; Brenda O'Steen of Cross City, Fla.; three brothers: Jim Howard, Felton Howard, and Raymond Howard, all of Branford, Fla.; and 7 grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by his sister: Shirley Land.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at 11 a.m. in Daniels Memorial Chapel, Branford, FL with Mr. Bob Fletcher officiating. Interment followed in Oak Grove Memorial Cemetery, Branford, FL. Visitation was held Tuesday morning from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Please sign the guestbook online at

Roger Brim

Feb. 20, 1944 - May 27, 2012


Roger Brim, age 68 of Live Oak, Fla., passed away Sunday, May 27, 2012 at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville, Fla. following a brief illness. He was a native and life long resident of Live Oak. Roger worked for Farmers Coop for 17 years prior to becoming the owner/operator of an LP gas transportation company. He loved the water and the outdoors, fishing and water skiing. Above all he loved and adored spending time with his wonderful family. He was a member of the Clayland Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Brim, Live Oak; two sons, Robby Brim, Live Oak; Chris Brim, Valdosta, Ga.; three daughters, Wendy Staton, Bowie, Md.; Kim Fletcher, Live Oak; Kelly Davis, Valdosta, Ga.; one sister, Vivian Williams, Live Oak; six grandchildren.

Visitation was held Tuesday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., today, Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Clayland Baptist Church with Rev. Doyle Bell, Rev. Bill Lawhon & Rev. T.J. Santerfeit officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Clayland Church Building Fund, 11409 193rd Rd., Live Oak, FL or American Heart Association, 5851 St. Augustine Rd., Jacksonville, FL  32207.
