Vickers’ class enjoys prom and makes memories

“Memories of Moonlight” and many other memories were made for a special group of students from Candy Vickers’ class before and during the 2008 Suwannee High School prom. The memories were made possible thanks to a lot of time, effort and money from several caring people. Before the day of the prom, dresses and tuxedos were donated. Haircuts and hairdos were done. Lots of laughter was heard while manicures and pedicures were being performed. Wheelchairs were cleaned and polished to be ready for a night of dancing.

As the students arrived at Suwannee Intermediate School, they were escorted down the red carpet to a scene that was decorated to resemble floating in the stars for pictures, dinner and some dancing before the prom. After a wonderful tune, the students headed off to the big event for hours of dancing and fun.

Without the efforts of the following people, these memories would not have been possible. Many thanks go out to everyone who helped make this possible. If we have forgotten anyone, please accept our apology: David Napier, Mary Maxwell, members of Suwannee High School Key Club, Kathy Wood, Quinton Bell of Bell’s Formal Wear, Anna Miller Circle and husbands, Amy Hendry, Cindy Proctor, Sherry Wolfe, Debbie Beckner, Linda Goodman, Terri and Troy Johnson, Brad Scott, Natalie Hunter and Terry and T.J. Vickers.
