RANT & RAVE - Oct. 9

Imagine the impact/demand on fuel, food, emergency rooms, hospital delivery rooms, unemployment, classrooms in public schools, immigration lawyers, human trafficking, if the 12-million illegals were gone after midnight tonight! Heck, for all I know all of the signs in Spanish would disappear as well.

I would like to make a rant & rave about a certain situation. It happened on I-75, I think if you are following too close to an individual, rather you are a law enforcement officer or not, and you rear-end somebody, it is automatically your fault. Thank you.

Regarding the rant about littering, get used to it, that's how they do it here. They don't value the beauty of where they live. There is no enforcement of littering laws.

Recently a rant addressed excessive noise from vehicle radios. I too have long begrudged that abuse. We have another vehicle noise problem, the double exhaust systems and Jake brakes. Starke, Florida has signs posted at its city limits prohibiting such use. Really the heart of this is lack of consideration for others, and if parents asserted their authority over this problem and taught their young drivers how selfish they are, it would be a great help. And yes, I can realize there are quite a few adults that have missed the consideration mode too. But we have to start correcting this somewhere. Thank you.

I would like to rant about Suwannee County Felony Probation. People are going around laughing at you. Probationers do not come and check on people. I stop by the bar to have a beer every now and then and there are the felony people that are on probation, doing drugs in the parking lot. They are not checking on them or drug testing them. Please have something done about this. Thank you very much have a good day.

Those of you that smoke need to remember that Little River Springs is not God's ashtray. I am a private citizen who just spent all morning picking up hundreds of cigarette butts. If you can't leave a place better than you found it then maybe you should go at all. Thank you.

I am enraged and furious about the bonuses being dolled-out at City Hall. This is beyond ridiculous. While tax-paying citizens are facing pay-cuts and in some cases being laid-off, the employees at City Hall are being rewarded with bonuses. What's next, garbage pickup once a month? It's time for a new City Council and a new City staff. If everyone at City Hall was let go, new employees could be hired at lower salaries thus saving the tax-payers money.
