Suwannee Roots Revival kicked off with many artists Thursday including Chatham County Line at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park.

LIVE OAK — The second Suwannee Roots Revival got underway Thursday at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park, where a multitude of fans were already onsite and loving what they were hearing and seeing.

The day began with the Adventures of Annabelle Lyn, Richie & Rosie, Joe Craven and the The Sometimers, Quartermoon, Chatham County Line, Contra square dance instruction, Nation of Two, square dancing with the Dunehoppers and caller Andy Kane, Bela Fleck and Abigail Washburn, Grandpa’s Cough Medicine, The Grass is Dead and The Revelers closing out the evening.

Now, it’s on to Day 2 of the four-day festival. Each day is jam-packed with some of the greatest talent in Americano, bluegrass and gospel music. Friday’s lineup of The Lee Boys, Verlon Thompson, Rumpke Mountain Boys, Peter Rowan’s Dharma Blues with Jack Casady, Donna The Buffalo, River Whyless, Dread Clampitt, The Pine Box Dwellers, The Grass is Dead and many more performing on the Amphitheater, Porch, Dance, Music Farmer’s and Music Hall Stages.

If you come and want to bring your instruments and join in with artists on the Music Farmer’s Stage, please feel free to do so! The stage is located next to the Store of the Village where there will be music from 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. with artists like Tom Nelly, Joe Craven, Rev. Jeff Mosier and many more.
