Trick-or-treat night in Mayo is Nov. 1

Getting into the spirit of things

By Ira Mikell, Free Press Reporter

The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office and the town of Mayo have announced that trick-or-treating on Saturday, November 1, will begin at 6 p.m. and end at 9 p.m.

According to Lafayette County School Resource Officer Scott Hamlin, trick-or-treating was moved to Saturday night because of the homecoming game and heavy traffic congestion on Friday night.

LCSO and the town council want everyone, especially the children, to enjoy the community event, but urge all participants to practice safety.
