“Something to Remember”

Prom time at LHS

By Ira Mikell, Free Press Reporter

Lafayette High School students gathered in the gymnasium for a special evening of fun, entertainment and surprises on Saturday, April 5. The theme for this year’s prom was “Something to Remember.”

Everyone enjoyed the evening as various students showed off their dancing skills to the crowd as well as to their dates.

The students also helped the disc jockey create a special “Something to Remember” video of the prom by cheering for Cory Smith and giving a special tribute in his honor. Smith, a fellow LHS student and football player, was unable to attend for health reasons.

At the end of the evening, Kevin Waters and Natalie Land were crowned LHS prom King and Queen. Trent Frier and Alma Huerta were crowned LHS prom Prince and Princess.
