Live Oak —
The Wellborn Community Association invites everyone to come out this Saturday to the 21st Annual Blueberry Festival for a day of fun in the sun. The event will begin at 7 a.m. and will last until 5 p.m. that evening.
Famous blueberry pancakes will be available for purchase from 7-10 a.m. Don’t forget to stop by the Country Store, which opens at 7:30 a.m., for the best homemade pies, cobblers, ice cream, jellies and jams.
The Blueberry Festival parade will start at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. The theme is “Together We Can,” and the grand marshall for this year’s parade is James Montgomery, who is chairman of the Advisory Board of the Suwannee Valley Community Foundation.
Food and arts and crafts vendors will be available throughout the day. Also, be sure to stick around for some of the best local talent that will be appearing on the stage.
“We’re all looking forward to the 21st Annual Blueberry Festival. Everything is organized and we’re all anxiously awaiting for June 7,” said Wendell Snowden, chairman for the Blueberry Festival committee. “We hope everyone will come out and support the Wellborn Community Association. We’re praying for good sunny weather.”
