Opinion: The Democrat Says

Moving forward

Live Oak — The current county commission seems to be moving in the right direction. This is evidenced by the recent unanimous vote by the panel to extend the hours of alcoholic beverage sales to include Sunday.

We believe this is a positive move forward in the right direction for our county to attract growth and those businesses that would see the extension of hours as a welcome sign.

Kudos go to county commissioners Jason Bashaw, Clyde Fleming, Ricky Gamble Jr., Phil Oxendine and Wesley Wainwright.

Now, commissioners, let’s spread the word to attract some businesses that will bring with it much needed jobs.
