Axom Hugh 'Junior' Landen

Axom Hugh 'Junior' Landen, 76, of Live Oak, Fla. passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2014. Junior was born in Dowling Park, Fla. and served in the U.S. Coast Guard. He lived most of his life in Live Oak where he operated Landen's Grocery. Mr. Landen was an active member of Live Oak Church of God. 

Junior is survived by his wife of thirty-one years: Ruby Nell Landen, Live Oak, Fla.; two sons: Jimmy Landen and Hugh Landen, both of Live Oak, Fla.; step-daughter: Cheri Gardner, Lake City, Fla.; three step-sons: Harold A. 'Hal' Lanier, Alex Lanier and Richard 'Ricky' Lanier, all of Live Oak, FL; two sisters: Betty Rice, Cleveland, TN; Gerri Blocker, Tallahassee, Fla.; fifteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. 

Services for Junior were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 24 at Live Oak Church of God with Rev. Gene Rice and Rev. Greg Richie officiating. Internment followed in Live Oak Cemetery.

Latana Joy Everett

Latana Joy Everett, 63, Live Oak, Fla. passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2014. Mrs. Everett was a member of Pine Level Baptist Church in Dowling Park. 

She is survived by her husband: Harold "Butch" Everett, Live Oak, Fla.; children: Jim Lafitte, Niceville, Fla., Joe (Stephanie) Lafitte, Niceville, Fla., Bonnie L. (Jeff) Hernandez, Tampa, Fla., David (Patty)Everett, Tampa, Fla.; sister: Darlene Colon; brothers: Timothy L. (Judy) Jones, Larry R. (Brenda) Jones, Benny A. Jones and eleven grandchildren. Mrs. Everett was preceded in death by her parents: Pleamon L. & Joyce A. Jones. 

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 25 at Pine Level Baptist Church with Rev. Lester Curry officiating. She will be laid to rest in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fla. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice of Nature Coast, P.O. Box 641270 Beverly Hills, Fla. 34464.
