WWII vet shares story of Battle of the Bulge

— World War II veteran Cecil Bonds of Live Oak was wounded twice during the Battle of the Bulge. On one occasion, two Germans opened fire on his company, who were asleep in an abandoned house. Bonds was shot in the right hip.
Bonds' comrades fled, while a medic helped him escape the house. A German approached the medic and killed him, while Bonds managed to escape.
Another time Bonds was shot in the wrist by a nearby sniper. After the attack he was sent home.
Bonds received numerous awards for his courageous acts, including a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart.
