POLICE BEAT: Alleged encounter with 15-year-old leads to arrest

A Weeki Wachee man was arrested Thursday on charges of lewd and lascivious battery for allegedly having sex with a 15-year-old girl in 2008. The girl told police the sex was consensual, sheriff’s reports show.

While at an unidentified residence with his wife and friends in May or June of 2008, Roberto L. Burton, 28, of 7291 Westview Court, was seen holding hands with the girl and kissing her, reports indicate. According to police, the girl said she and Burton later had intercourse in a vehicle outside the residence.
