POLICE BEAT: Drug house raided, say police

A house police say was used to package and sell drugs was raided recently, according to Live Oak Police Department Det. Sgt. Ron Shaw. Two arrests were made.

The raid, at 612 Irvin Street, Live Oak, was made in conjunction with the Drug Task Force and the Live Oak Police Department, said Shaw.

Arrested were 22-year-old Justin Ramon Freeman, of 612 Irvin Street and 18-year-old Kwone Levelle Matthews, of 826 9th Street. Freeman was charged with possession of cannabis with the intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia. Matthews was charged with the possession of cocaine with the intent to sell.

According to sheriff's reports, Freeman was found to be in possession of numerous bags of pot packaged for sale, plastic bags for packaging pot and measuring scales. In addition, Matthews was found to be in possession of two bags of cocaine packaged for sale, reports indicate.

Freeman and Matthews were arrested and transported to the Suwannee County Jail.
