The Suwannee High School Lady Bulldogs varsity softball season came to an end in the first round of the District 3-4A tournament. Suwannee, seeded fourth in the six-team district, was defeated by fifth-seed Middleburg 5-1. During the regular season, Suwannee and Middleburg split their home and home series.
The Lady Bulldogs were limited to two base hits against Middleburg in the tournament. Right fielder Brittney Shearer singled into right field and later scored on a single to center field by shortstop Mary Badgerow. Pitcher Dale Townsend pitched seven innings, allowed five earned runs, 10 base hits, a walk and struck out six Middleburg batters.
Finishing the year on a six game losing streak, the Lady Bulldogs ended the year with a 9-13 record.
