POLICE BEAT: Man threatened with hammer, say police

— An O'Brien man was arrested Monday on charges of aggravated assault with a weapon, jail records show.
Robert Bruce Dolan, 45, held a hammer over another man's head Sunday while threatening to "kill everyone," according to sheriff's reports. Dolan then allegedly took the man's wallet and "started throwing items around the house" before punching a hole in a window. The arresting officer, Cody McIntyre of the Suwannee County Sheriff's Office, reported "a very strong odor of alcoholic beverages on Robert's breath."

According to sheriff's reports, Jackie Basil Branham Jr. "did intentionally touch or strike [another individual] and caused great bodily harm or permanent disfigurement."
