Governing Board Chairman Louis Shiver (left) presents an award to Live Oak resident Berry Shafii in appreciation for his 20 years of service with the Suwannee River Water Management District. Shafii, a GIS (geographic information systems) graphics specialist, began his career with the district in 1988 as a graphic artist. His artwork has appeared on numerous district publications and T-shirts, and now he creates detailed maps for a wide range of district and community projects.
