The Trojans traveled to Fort White to take on the Indians Tuesday night, Jan. 1. After taking as much as a 19 point lead over the Indians, Hamilton County High School (HCHS) held on for a 74-65 victory, ending their regular season with a 16-7 record.
The Trojans were led in scoring by Josh Jones’ 11 points. Hamilton had 2 other players scoring in double figures, Robin McClain and Howard Webb. They each scored 10 points in the game.
Other Trojans who scored were Ti’Wan Cooks (9), Jermaine Walker (8), Josh Paul (6), Ryan Mathis (6), Mark Jolly (4), Jacaris Stubbs (4), Anthony Stevens (2), Malcolm Pollock (2) and Vion Lanier (2).
Hamilton had 5 different players with 5 rebounds in the game, the most by any player - Jones, Jolly, Stevens, Paul and McClain.
In the steals department, it was another group effort as 6 different players had 2 steals apiece - Jones, Cooks, Walker, Webb, Stubbs and Lanier.
The Trojans had 19 assists for the night and were led by Jones’ 6 dimes. Walker had 4 assists and Webb had 3.
Hamilton also contributed 12 blocked shots and were led by Jones (4) and McClain (3).

The District Tournament will be held at HCHS on Friday, Feb. 8: #1 seeded Florida High vs #4 seeded Madison at 6:00 p.m. and #2 seeded Taylor vs #3 seeded Hamilton at 7:30 p.m. The Championship game will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9.
