Don Lee Carter, age 66 of Jasper, FL passed away early Monday morning, October 29, 2012 at Haven Hospice in Lake City, FL following a brief illness. He was a native of London, Kentucky moving to Jasper in 1989 from Ft. Myers, FL. He owned & operated a trucking company. He served in the U.S. Army during Viet Nam.  Don loved the outdoors spending time golfing, fishing, riding his motorcycle and was a fan of NASCAR racing.  He was of the Baptist faith.
He was predeceased by his father, James Carter.
He is survived by his daughter, Donna LeaAnn (Mark) Day, Lake City, FL; his mother, Estelle Carter, Jasper, FL; one sister, Gloria Ann Bogard, Jasper, FL; two granddaughters, Megan Brooke & Kaitlyn Grace; a nephew, Donnie Deen (Kim) Bogard; a great niece, Whitney Bogard; a great nephew, Deen Bogard and many close friends.
Visitation will be held, Friday, Nov. 2, 2012 at the funeral home.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, November 3, 2012 in the Live Oak Cemetery with Rev. Mark Cunningham officiating.
