Hamilton swearing-in ceremony is Tuesday morning

JASPER - Newly-elected local officials will be sworn into office Tuesday in an 8:30 a.m. ceremony at the Hamilton County Courthouse.

Judge John Peach of the Third Judicial Circuit will administer the oath of office.

Being sworn in are: Mary Beth Adams, Tax Collector; Harry D "Buster" Oxendine, County Commissioner, District 5; Martha Butler, Superintendent of Schools; Jeanne Daniels, School Board member, District 1; and Gary Godwin, School Board member, District 2.

The ceremony will be held in the courtroom.
