POLICE BEAT: ARMED MEN ROB JENNINGS CONVENIENCE STORE

By Stephenie Livingston, Reporter

The Jennings Mini-Mart was robbed last night at 8:30 p.m. by two masked men, one dressed in black and the other wearing a pink shirt, sheriff’s reports show. Both men were armed as they walked into the Mini-Mart and demanded the clerk empty both cash registers, said Major John Davis of the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office. The assailants escaped with an unknown amount of cash. The Jennings Police Department and the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office responded with a K-9 unit and searched the area. The incident is under investigation and no arrests have been made, said police.
