John-Walt Boatright, pictured center at an awards ceremony, was a recipient of the Samsung Scholarship given at the American Legion Boy’s State recently. To qualify for the Samsung scholarship a student must be a high school junior that is chosen to attend Boy’s State and be a direct descendant of a United States Veteran who served during a period of war and a delegate to an American Legion Boy’s State.
