Staff

A Perry man injured in a collision with a big rig Thursday morning remains hospitalized, though a Shands UF spokeswoman listed his condition as 'good' Tuesday.

According to Florida Highway Patrol reports, Lovett Brasby, 70, of Perry was eastbound on US 27 in Lafayette County at about 9:30 when he attempted a left turn into Mayo Correctional Institution. Brasby's 2007 Chevrolet was struck by a westbound 2000 Mack semi driven by Reba B. Ward, 57, of Mayo. The impact caused the semi to overturn.

Brasby was lifeflighted to Shands UF. Ward was treated and released at Doctors Memorial Hospital in Perry.
