Bass signs on with Lee's McCrae

Crystal Bass, Branford High School senior is shown signing a track scholarship with Lee's McCrae College in North Carolina. Bass has thrown the shot and discus for the Branford girls track team for two years and has won honors in both events. She is a back to back district champion in both events.

Shown with Crystal are her parents Lynn and David Bass, and her coach Seth Stebbins.

Crystal said she was real happy to receive her scholarship and the opportunity to compete at the college level. Her scholarship at Lee's-McCrae is for four years. Her siblings include two younger brothers, David, a freshman, and Travis a sixth grader. David is also a track star for BHS and will be competing in state competition this weekend in Winter Park. He qualified during regional competition in Tallahasse last Friday.
