Baseball season underway

— The Branford Buccaneer varsity baseball team is 2-1 on the season with wins over Dixie County 10-1 and Bell 13-2. Their only loss is to Chiefland 10-1. The scheduled game with Bronson was canceled due the weather, and has been rescheduled for April 11.
The Bucs were scheduled to meet the Lafayette Hornets on the road Tuesday and will host Hawthorne Thursday (tonight) with the junior varsity team beginning play at 4 p.m., followed by the varsity at 7 p.m.
