Area road and lane closures for Dec. 13-19
SUWANNEE COUNTY
High School Road, Primary School Road and Silas Drive in Live Oak
Daytime lane closures in the vicinity of Suwannee Primary School, Suwannee High School and the Suwannee Sports Complex to allow crews to build a new sidewalk.
State Road 247
Daytime lane closures after 8:30 a.m. between U.S. 129 and the Columbia County line to place the final layer of asphalt. In Branford, there may also be daytime lane closures to work on sidewalk, handrail and to place new signs. In Branford, crews will be milling, or removing the top layer of asphalt before placing new asphalt. In the rural area, the roadway has already been milled and a bottom layer of asphalt placed with the final layer of asphalt being placed now.
U.S. 129
Daytime lane closures after 8:30 a.m. to place the final layer of asphalt on the northbound lanes from the northern city limits of Branford to McAlpin. Also, daytime lane closures in the town of Branford to work at the wheelchair accessible ramps at the side street intersections and for cleanup. They anticipate being completed with the paving by the end of the week. In about two weeks, crews will return to place the permanent roadway markings in the town of Branford.
COLUMBIA COUNTY
Southwest Little Road
The road is totally closed at the Rose Creek Bridge for the next four months to replace the bridge. All through traffic is detoured to Southwest Walter Avenue.
HAMILTON COUNTY
U.S. 41 in White Springs
The road will be totally closed in the Town of White Springs between Suwannee Street and Adams Memorial Drive on Saturday, December 13 from 5-7 p.m. for the White Springs Festival of Lights and Christmas Parade. White Springs Police will detour traffic.
LAFAYETTE COUNTY
State Road 51 in Mayo
The road will be totally closed in the Town of Mayo on Saturday, December 13 from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. for the Christmas in the Park. The Lafayette County Sheriff's Department will detour traffic.
U.S. 27
Daytime lane closures between the Taylor County line and Suwannee River to allow inmate crews to repaint the roadway markings such as turn lanes, etc.
MADISON COUNTY
U.S. 90 in Greenville
The road will be totally closed on Saturday, December 13 from 10:45 until 11:45 a.m. in the Town of Greenville for the Greenville Country Christmas Parade. Madison County Sheriff's Department will detour traffic.
