Trisch crowned
BHS senior is 2008 Homecoming Queen
Ciera Trisch, 18, a Branford High School senior, was crowned 2008 Homecoming Queen during halftime festivities at Buccaneer Stadium Friday. Trisch was chosen by popular vote of the student body, grades 9 - 12, from among three other BHS seniors: Elisha Bates, Magen Rucker and Tarina Wade. She received her crown and sash from Katelyn Kelly, 2007 Homecoming Queen. Ciera's parents are Jake and Cynthia Trisch.
The newly crowned Queen is very involved with school activities and volunteer work. She is a member of the FCCLA, FCA, Envirothon team, National Honor Society, Teen Trendsetters, Leadership Class, Student Council, Yearbook staff and Big Blue staff. She currently serves as the senior class president and president of the BETA Club and National FFA Association. Ciera is a proud member of Living Springs Family Worship Center and H20 youth ministries. In her spare time she enjoys being with her family, her church, all of her friends and anything to do with the FFA. Her hobbies include: singing, participating with her church drama team, reading, public speaking and making new friends.
Following graduation from high school, Ciera plans to run for state FFA office in the spring to represent the Town of Branford. Then she plans to seek her undergraduate degree in journalism or political science to further obtain a degree in agricultural law.
