Nine-month-old Autumn Marie Norenberg, critically hurt in a Christmas Day crash, remains in fair condition at Shands UF, a hospital spokeswoman said Sunday. Her condition was upgraded from serious yesterday.
Hospital staff did not elaborate, but according to the textbook Forensic Nursing, "fair" condition is defined as follows: "Vital signs are stable and within normal limits. Patient is conscious, but may be uncomfortable. Indicators are favorable."
However, the Democrat is attempting to confirm further details of her condition.
Autumn Marie was trapped underwater for 10-15 minutes when a car overturned in a pond just off 29th Road, about two miles south of US 90 near the Columbia County line.
