Voters within the Town of Branford will go to the polls Tuesday, June 14 to elect a new town clerk. The new clerk will replace Lori Frierson who is not seeking re-election to the job she has held for the past 11 years.
Gayle Asuncion and Donna Hardin both have qualified to seek the position and are actively campaigning to be the next Branford Town Clerk.
Polls will open at 7 a.m. on Tuesday morning and will remain open until 7 p.m. to give voters an opportunity to cast their ballot. Voting will take place at the Branford Town Hall located on Suwannee Ave.
According to clerk Lori Frierson there are 337 registered voters within the town, and town officials are expecting a good turnout.
Roy Bagley another veteran councilman did not seek re-election to the post he has held for nearly 20 years. Charlie Daniel, qualified without opposition for Post III held by Bagley.
Shirley Clark, who holds Post IV qualified for re-election without opposition.
