First Federal and Suwannee High combined to hold their massive track invitational March 15. The weather cooperated and 13 teams showed up to compete, 12 in the boys' track and field events and 12 in the girls events. Bulldog track took second place with 140 points behind Clay with 150. Lady Bulldog track took third with 101 points behind first Clay with 173 and Buchholz with 117.

Competing in boys' track were Clay, Suwannee, Buchholz, Bradford, Taylor, Lee, Ft. White, Union County, Shanks, Hamilton, Middleburg and Columbia, all placing in that order.



Competing in girls' track and field were Clay, Buchholz, Suwannee, Middleburg, Palatka, Union County, Hamilton, Taylor, Ft. White, Shanks, Columbia and Bradford, all finishing in that order.

Suwannee had many great individual efforts. In the boys' events Waymon Ford snagged a first in the long jump and the triple jump. Bruce Johnson took first in the 110 high hurdles and second in the 300 low hurdles.



In the girls' events, once again, Heather LeBlanc cleaned up in both the 100 meter high hurdles and the 300 meter low hurdles. Ashley Rose placed first in the high jump.
