The annual event that brings more people into Branford than any other time of the year will be held Monday, July 4, when the Branford River Reunion gets underway.
A full day of events is planned beginning early on the Fourth, with the Don Clark Memorial 5K Run. Registration will be at the Gazebo located off Suwannee Avenue adjacent to Capital City Bank. The run will take place on the Branford Greenway. Registration begins at 7 a.m. with the run to follow at 8 a.m.
Opening ceremony at Hatch Memorial Park will take place at 9 a.m. with Kelli Hunter singing the National Anthem, and this will kickoff a full day of music and entertainment. Local and area talent will include Kelli Hunter, Roy Welch, Denise Hingston, Jeff Boss, Jackie Wells, Bobbie Jo Harris, Russell Howard and others. Mike McInnis and the Sounds of Grace will appear from 3 to 4:30 and the Mike Miller Band will appear from 7 to 9 p.m.
Continuous entertainment will last all day with the exception of 2-3 p.m. when the Rotary Club Duck Race will take place on the Suwannee River.
A good variety of vendors will be on hand at the Hatch Park and will be selling their wares; food, drinks, arts, crafts and much more.
