Burnice I. Clemons
Burnice I. Clemons, age 87, a native of Lafayette County. Coming from Mayo she had lived in Orlando for the past 42 years. She was a retired Cafeteria worker with the School System. Mrs. Clemons was a member of the Hyland Baptist Church in Pinehills. She enjoyed gardening and painting. Preceded in death by her husband, John W. Clemons.
Survivors include a son; Gerald Waters and wife Ann, of Macon, Ga, (2) daughters; Rowena Miller and husband Bob, of Longwood, Barbara Wenzel and husband Bob, of Littleton, Colorado, (1) brother; Larry Willis and wife Betty, of Tampa, (3) sisters; Betty and O.C. Strickland, of Orlando, Arlene and Kenneth Deese and Evelyn Williams, all of Mayo, (4) grandchildren, (1) great grandchild, and a host of nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, June 17, 2005 at the Riverside Baptist Church, with Bro. Larry Willis, officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery. Family received friends from 7-9 p.m. on Thursday evening at the Mayo Chapel.

Ouida (Perry) Hart
Ouida (Perry) Hart, age 90, passed away on Monday, June 20, 2005 in Gainesville. She was a native and lifelong resident of Lafayette County and was the daughter of the late Donald Jefferson Perry and Belle (Turner) Perry.
Mrs. Hart was a former school teacher in Lafayette County, and a Social Worker for the State of Florida for many years working out of the Perry Office. She was a member of the Mayo United Methodist Church and enjoyed painting and traveling. Preceded in death by her husband, Lester Clyton Hart.
She is survived by two sons: Donald Hart, of Reddick, Fl. and Karl Vance Hart and wife (Roxann), of Orange Lake, Fl, ($) grandchildren, (8) great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are today (Thursday), June 23, 2005 with Bro. Larry Law and Bro. Freddie Edwards officiating. Interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery. Family received friends from 6 - 8 p.m. on Wednesday evening at the Mayo Chapel.

Paula J. Winton
Paula J. Winton, 60, passed away in her home in Mayo, Florida on June 12, 2005. She was born January 12, 1945 in Pikeville, Tennessee. She is preceded in death by her husband Larry Winton, two sons, Terry Nunley, Eric Nunley, her father Earl Sullivan, her mother Maude Johnson, two brothers, Edward Sullivan, Jack Sullivan and two sisters, Kathleen Chastain and Louise Clark. She is survived by one son, Jeffery T. Nunley (Patty), one daughter, Ginger P. Calhoun (Marcus) and three grandchildren, Scott Nunley, Samantha Calhoun, Kendall Calhoun all of Mayo, Florida. Other survivors include six sisters: Ruth Cox (Landon) of Dayton, TN., Nancy Evans (Alvie) of Soddy Daisy, TN., Martha Sullivan (Perry) of Pikeville, TN., Patsy Wheeler of Chattanooga, TN., Phyllis Priest (Ed) of McMinnville, TN., Barbara Hendrick of Red Bank, TN.. One brother, Earl Sullivan of Soddy Daisy, TN. and a host of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, June 16, 2005 at 11 a.m. at New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Charlie Walker officiating. Interment was at Bethany Cemetery in Mayo.
