The Branford Lady Bucs basketball team played their best game of the year at the Branford gym against a very good Union County team. The end result was a heartbreaking 38-37 defeat to keep the Lady Bucs winless on the season, but what an effort. Krystin Lynch had her best game of the year hitting 17 points, including one three pointer. Other players hitting the scoring column was Amanda McNabb with 9, Sarah Keast 7, Lauren Schultz 2 and Kelley Dempsey 2.

The junior varsity girls managed to pull an exciting 11-9 win over the Lady Tigers to earn their second win of the season.

The Lady Bucs were in action at the home gym later in the week against a strong state-ranked Mayo team. The final score in this one was 66-37, Despite the loss, Dubose played an outstanding game scoring 15 points, with 12 rebounds, a block and an assist. Lauren Schultz had 8 points, and pulled down 14 rebounds, blocked a shot and had a steal. Krystyn Lynch supplied 8 points in this one, while Amanda McNabb finished out the scoring with 6.

The junior varsity ladies fell 52-6 against a strong Lady Hornets team.
