Miss Krystina Reid, a BHS senior was crowned Miss Branford High School during pageant ceremonies held Saturday evening. Miss Janell Roberts, a junior was chosen first runner-up.
Krystina was crowned by Miss Brittany Suggs, who holds the title as Miss BHS 2002. Krystina also walked off with the talent award, while Miss Keri Frierson, a sophomore was chosen by her fellow contestants to receive the Miss Congeniality Award.
Other contestants included Adrienne Driggers, a senior and Farren Knighton, a sophomore.
Contestants were judged on interview, which accounted for 20 points; day wear 25 points; talent 15 points, and evening wear 30 points.
To win the talent award Krystina danced to "Die Another Day".
The pageant is held each year sponsored by the Branford Student Council of which Darrell Cannon is sponsor. K- Jay Wingate was Master of Ceremonies for the program.
Miss Reid is the daughter of Judy and Joe Brown of the Branford community.
