The crowning of a homecoming princess and queen climaxed a week of celebration at Branford High School. The princess was crowned in pre-game ceremonies, while the 2003 homecoming queen was crowned during half time festivities. They were chosen by popular vote of the students in grades 6-12.

Miss Kelsey Brown, daughter of Eddie and Liz Brown of Branford was crowned Princess 2003, by Jade Roberts , 2002 Princess.

Miss Patriece Matthews, daughter of Wilma Matthews and Tony Akins was crowned Queen 2003 by Emilee Hatch, 2002 Queen.

The new princess is a member of FFA and the Florida High School Rodeo Association. She enjoys twirling, playing softball and is involved in Patrice's School of Dance. In her spare time she likes to go to the beach, talk on the phone and spend time with her family and friends. She was escorted by Chris Durden.

The 2003 Queen is a member of FCCLA, FCA and Beta Club. She is a varsity cheerleader, member of varsity basketball team, and runs cross country. She is vice president of the BHS student body, and has been nominated and selected in "Who's Who Among American High School Students." She plans to attend Lake City Community College following graduation at the end of the 2003-2004 school year. Her escort was Tony Akins.
