Even after a two-week break, the Bulldog baseball team still has what it takes. FCATs and the weather have kept the team benched for over a week. But they came back strong and defeated Bradford in a makeup game 10-4.

Brad Davis started on the mound for Suwannee. He retired Bradford in order with two strikeouts. Davis repeated the effort in the second inning with two more strikeouts.

Suwannee started to score in the second inning. Clint Hale led off with a single and promptly stole second base. Garrett Brown, back after a long illness, singled to move Hale to third. Hale scored on a wild pitch with Jon Marrero at bat. At the end of the second inning it was 1-0 Suwannee.

Davis allowed two runs for the Bradford team in the third. Suwannee came up to bat down one run 1-2.

Don Wainwright led off the inning with a single. Ryan Stovall singled to advance the runner to second. Tyler Chambliss got on with a bunt to load the bases. Andrew Bass singled to score Wainwright. Stovall then scored on a pick-off attempt by the Bradford pitcher that went into left field. Rheed Baldwin singled, but Chambliss got called out at home in a close play. Bass scored on an attempted steal by Baldwin. Baldwin scored from third. The inning ended with Suwannee getting five hits and scoring four runs to make it 5-2.

Davis retired the Bradford team in order in the top of the top of the fourth. He got one strikeout.

With two outs in the bottom of the fourth, Wainwright walked. Ryan Stovall, who has been a hot hitter for Suwannee, smacked his fourth homerun of the year, driving Wainwright in. After Stovall's homer, Chambliss walked. Andrew Bass singled and Baldwin singled to score Chambliss. Clint Hale doubled scoring Bass. The Dogs got four hits, two walks and scored four runs in the fourth to make the score 9-2.

In the top of the fifth, Wade Skinner came in to relieve Davis. William Yanossy took over second base and D.J. Montgomery took over in right field. Skinner gave up a single and the run scored after a Dog error. Skinner struck the last batter of the inning out.

Suwannee scored no runs in the fifth and the inning ended with the score 9-3.

Skinner retired the Bradford hitters in order in the top of the sixth.

In the bottom of the sixth, Suwannee was able to get one run when William Yanossy hit a sacrifice fly to score D.J. Montgomery. At the end of six it was 10-3 Suwannee.

Tyler Chambliss relieved Skinner on the mound for the final inning. Chambliss walked three, struck out two and allowed one run. The final score for the game was 10-4 Suwannee.
